Cursed cursors

At high resolution my cursor is too small to be immediately visible.
I have installed "big-cursor" and "gcursor" but niether KDE nor gcursor can
find big-cursor and trying to use gcursor to increase cursor size results in
perpetual activity without change.

I have added the FontPath in xorg.conf to show big-cursor. Still no result.

Ideas, anyone?

Been there - done that! :-) Already installed.
I _think_ xcursor is only the standard cursors and doesn't include anything
larger. I _could_ be wrong.

I installed that package yesterday, and it has nice big cursors...

In which case my problem is not being able to access those themes.
I did a search and found:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/xcursor-themes.conffiles
/var/lib/dpkg/info/xcursor-themes.list
/var/lib/dpkg/info/xcursor-themes.md5sums
/var/cache/apt/archives/xcursor-themes_1.0.0-2_all.deb
/usr/share/doc/xcursor-themes
/usr/share/doc/xcursor-themes/changelog.Debian.gz
/usr/share/doc/xcursor-themes/copyright
/usr/share/mimelnk/image/x-xcursor.desktop
/usr/bin/xcursorgen
/usr/lib/pkgconfig/xcursor.pc
plus listings for libxcursor1

NONE of these are recognised by KDE's control centre as cursor themes.

SO there MUST be another way to access xcursor-themes. Help, please.

larger? I'm trying to find something smaller! I have 1/2 the amount of
space I would have in windows :(
